Rescue stories

Most of the small animals accepted and saved in the base have got well. They are lovely and docile. But owing to limited economic condition, they are not well tended. These animals, once ill-treated, are keen to have a warm home and the association also hope there will be warm-hearted people to adopt them. Therefore, the association picked some photos of these animals for your reference.
Qiu Qiu:
    Yellow cat Qiu Qiu was sent here by the former host because he was moving to a new flat. But he never shows up again afterward. Because Qiu Qiu was fed with beef, it refuses to eat without that. We have to give it the special food using the small budget of the association.
Ba Gou:
    Ba Gou is a dog. He was given the name of the open market where it wandered. Ba Gou was rescued in a day of June 2006, it was at the point of death as a result of being tortured and abused. Now Ba Gou has fully recovered. It is healthy, lovely and very close to human.
Nan Nan:
    Nan Nan was leading a happy life with 2 other cats (Da Da and Jing Jing ) in a loving family in Nanjing until May of 2002 when Nan Nan’s owner (Li Mo and Li Shen) were both suffering from the cancer disease. The owner Li Mo felt unable to rest in peace and sended Nan Nan and the other 2 cats to CSAPA with RMB7000, which is the money, she has saved in all her life. Unfortunately, Li Mo passed away in July 2002, within 3 days followed by the cat Da Da who wailed and refused to eat. Another cat Jing Jing died in September of 2005. The only one left is Nan Nan is intelligent, responding whenever its name is called, very attached to its current owner.
ER YUNAN:
    In a day of May 2005, CSAPA received a phone call from a young woman, she said that she found a stray dog searching food in garbage heap; she took the dog to her home but had to send it to CSAPA as her boy friend was not agreeable to adopt this dog. It was later founded that Er Yuan is the young woman’s own dog but abandoned because it was sick.
Taotao:
    Is a cat about half year, saved by Wang Tao who is one of the members of China Small animal protection Association. It has suffered from skin disease, but now, it has fully recovered.
    In the dog-nursing base, there is a willow planted by Mr. Zhang Kaiji and his wife, who is a famous architect. The willow is weeping now, however Mr. Zhang, who was 92 years old, had left us forever. Mr. Zhang had never appeared to be reluctant when he was asked to do something. Even the money hadn’t been paid to him when he became the prizewinner of Liang Sicheng Architect Awards; he had asked his wife to raise 10,000RMB to sustain our association. Until now the associate still owes 10,000RMB to this couple everyone missed him and admired him in front of his remains.
    Just have a home: the children crying piteously for food.
    In the simple and crude doghouse, the dogs were saved away from death, no matter what the reason was, and they finally escaped from hunger and cold. How gentleness they are, and how orderly they keep.
    Although he has home and eating now, he still fears scared with his eyes watching out. He is afraid of some time he will be evicted again.
    He is still keeping bleeding. What does he want to tell to people?
    This doggie was saved by member Wang Menglan at Lishui Bridge, his jaw was broken by bricks and could only be fed by flowing foods. Now he left this outrageous world forever. However its short and woeful life did leave something to our people.
    Tian Tian, saved from the slaughterhouse, still couldn’t get rid of the shadow of facing to the butcher knife.
    Beibei and Dada are two Chihuahuas with inborn disfigurement. The sister and brother were sent by 2 schoolgirls from Beijing University. Now they are more than 3 years old and all is normal besides walking not so well.
    Some Chinese don’t like palm civet and abandon or kill them optionally. In fact it is the m9st renowned and cleverest cat in the world.
A Chang:
    Abandoned to Clinic on June 9, 2001. By check-up, most of its belly was cankered. It seemed to be brought by the infection because of burn off edge tool’s cutting. It belongs to poodle and was about 1 year old. Now it is recovered.
    This is a mummy-cat who was adopted by Johnson from British.
Xu Houying’ dog:
    This lovely Pekinese belongs to Xu Houying and got certificated already. Ms. Xu Houying is an officer of labor bureau in Tianjin, and her husband is a director of the internal medicine in a known hospital, the couples cherished the dog deeply. Around 6 am of July 2001, they walked the Pekinese at the space in front of their house building at the stated time. One of their neighbors is a policeman who hates dog as his mother-in-law fears of this kind of animal. That day he happened passed the dog then chased it execrably. The host quickly pulled the dog away and the man caught up with them to grab the dog away in the back of Xu. And he through the dog badly. After a crucial crying, the dog grabbled again and the hoster carried thee hurted dog. However, the policeman leaped up in front of the dog again and graded it away. Finally he crashed the dog to the stone ladder nearby. The poor animal was broken the brains and died. This clearly dispute was delayed to today without ending.
Tomb-sweeping:
    On April, 6th, 1998, it was rescued under a tree at a hospital by member Jiang man with others, then sent it to the CSAPA, late in the night, was named Tomb-sweeping as that day was Tomb-sweeping Day. Jiang Man said, dog seller shaved off all its feather, paint circles, cut mouth, pretend to be a famous dog, and wanted to sell it at RMB800 high price. The buyer found it was fate, then throw it under then throw it under the tree.
Doudou:
    A white Beijing dog, was throw out by a young couple ju8st came back from Japan at CSAPA,. Dou Douis very beautiful and lovely. Just has ringworm caused by epiphyte on its oxter. The couple pretended to exam its ink at clinic, and then run away.
HeiZi (German Shepherd Dog):
    Belonged to a rich farmer of Shunyi district. Adopted by two years, owner didn’t feed it anything. HeiZi found food from rubbish. Nov 1998, a thief stun HeiZi, prepared to eat it the next day. A lady who always taked care of it just passed by, she found HeiZi still alive, then she rent a auto-bicycle, brought it to the hospital, but no one help. In the night, she arrived at CSAPA. When they arrived, Heizi’s bottom bleeding, tightly breathing, with quite high fever, cannot raise head. After lots treatments, and breeding workers care, HeiZi was rescued finally.
    Breeding Limitation was enacted in Beijing in 1995. According the regulation, first time registration, need to pay RMB5000, AND PAY RMB2000 FROM THE SECOND YEAR AND GO ON. Lots of people with low salary, and retirements, can not afford this high cost, but they also want to keep their pet, so their dogs became illegal, and called “Black dog”. “Black dog” don’t have living protection. It was threatened by catching and death. To discuss this limit, CSAPA, has already held five seminars by inviting lots of people from all circles, this is a seminar held in Nov 2001.
    Think about it, the new coming cat, what is it looking? What is it thinking about?
    Although the condition is not so good, but Xiao Gusan lived there very cozy and satisfied. Because it has a home, no more migratory with threaten.
    The dog had one of her legs cut off.
    Owner throws it at a hospital, then run away. Dog knows its fate; look at it’s painful and unhappy.
    This dog’s eyes were digging out when it brought to here.
    This kind of Tibet dog was always killed to make steamed dumpling.
    In the big picture: All the people were working. Migratory animal’s home with bad condition, it focused on many kindness peoples’ hearts! In 2004, on Tomb-sweeping Day, one of the planting tree team coming here.
